The Legee D8 stands out from other cleaning robots due to its efficient vacuuming and mopping capabilities and easy maintenance. Its most unique feature, the eco compactor trash bin, can retain five times more dirt than other cleaning robots. This feature significantly reduces the frequency of emptying the trash bin, eliminating the need for users to sacrifice space for bulky dust collecting bases or the usage of disposable dust bags.
Realizing the Legee D8 required a multi-disciplinary approach, including injection molding, tooling, in-mold decoration, software engineering, app coding, speech coding, and integration from electronics, telecommunications, and mechanisms. The result is a compact, D-shaped exterior with a host of impressive features, including Legee slam navigation, eco compactor 5X compression, 5000pa tangless suction power, and a smart spray system.
The design team at Hobot Technology Inc. faced several challenges in incorporating a strong and stable compressor into the trash bin. Through careful calculation, experimentation, and fine-tuning, they were able to ensure smooth trash compression and seamless filter clearing. The material of the part is extra durable, and the realization of the design is precisely executed to ensure the quality of the final products.
Legee D8 is not just a cleaning robot; it's an eco-friendly solution for users and the planet. Its eco compactor trash bin minimizes waste and reduces carbon emissions by retaining more dirt, lowering the frequency of emptying, and eliminating the need for a large dust collecting base. Its mopping pad reciprocates and applies force against the floor to remove stains, and it raises to avoid wetting the carpet. It's also easy to maintain, as the tangless suction picks up hair before the brushroll, so users won't need to clean it after use.
The Legee D8 is a testament to Hobot Technology Inc.'s commitment to innovative and eco-friendly design. The project, which started in January 2022 in Taiwan and finished in December 2022, was launched in Taiwan in December 2022 and will be available globally in March 2023. The design has been awarded the Golden A' Home Appliances Design Award in 2023, a testament to its outstanding design and trendsetting capabilities.
